| IEM Motor Insurance | |
Motor insurance is complusory for all vehicles on public road under the Road Transport Ordinance and it is a tariff class of insurance under Persatuan Am Insuran Malaysia (PIAM). Tariff class means that the premium computation follows a set of guidelines by all insurance companies in Malaysia and the computed premium is EXACTLY the same otherwise the insurance company it would be a breach of the tariff. In this regard, there is no price differential and an excellent service level to the insured is the way to win and maintain the insured. The insurer will provide IEM members the following benefits: - 24 hours emergency towing and minor roadside repair and towing service, free of charge up to maximum RM150.00 anywhere in Malaysia. You don’t have to worry looking for a mechanic!
- Assist to arrange hotel accommodation, car rental if required.
In the event of a claim, IEM Training Centre Sdn. Bhd. will request the insurer: - Approve the repair work within 3 working days.
- For total loss, approve payment within 10 working days.
- For theft cases, approve payment within 3 months.
Please note that service for renewal of road tax service will not be provided because of the liability involved if the Motor Registration Card is lost during transit. Members are advised not to utilise unreliable sources as the procedures to obtain a new Registration Card is tedious and time consuming in dealing with relevant authorities.
