IEM Training Centre Sdn. Bhd is a 100% owned subsidiary and business arm of The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM). It was registered with the Registrar of Companies on 22 September 1984. IEM Training Centre Sdn. Bhd has been given the mandate to operate the insurance business and to enable this setup to generate sufficient income to finance IEM activities for the benefits of its members. There is a range of insurance products specially designed for our members at a very competitive premium, like all Engineers not taking mere words as the answer, please do check it out.

IEM Motor Insurance                                           

 
 

Dear IEM members and members' friends,

You can now enjoy a number of benefits upon taking up Motor Insurance from IEM Training Centre Sdn. Bhd namely:

- free minor road repair like changing of punctured tyres
Where can you help if there is a minor breakdown of your vehcile, please ponder over this question. However with IEM Motor Insurance, you are at least assured of help from the insurer.

 Professional Indemnity Insurance 
 

Whilst large Consultancy firms normally have the economies of scale to afford high limits for their professional liability insurance cover, smaller firms would purchase a  lower limits averaging between RM 500,000.00 - to RM 1,000,000.00 any one claim and in the aggregate. These low limits are just sufficient to cover defence costs leaving very little to cover any damages awarded by the court if the engineer loses a civil case.  

 

The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) and Malaysian Assurance Alliance Berhad (MAA) have developed a Professional Indemnity Insurance Scheme to enable smaller firms to enjoy much higher limits at competitive premiums. 

 

IEM PI Scheme provides cover for IEM members who give advise to client. The PI insurance provides monetary protection in the event of legal action being taken against a member who has caused damage or loss arising from malpractice and/or public as result of professional negligence.

Office Package Fire Insurance                                    

 
 

This is a specially designed insurance package for Consulting Engineers and Contractors who operate from an office environment. It is special because it contains 8 classes of insurance within a single policy and the premium is very competitive. There are a total of 5 Plans which member can select in accordance to the Sum Insured of the Fire Class of insurance.
